Our support

Leader Stockholmsbygd can grant support for locally initiated development projects in rural areas and in the archipelago in Norrtälje, Österåker, Vaxholm, Värmdö, Haninge, and Nynäshamn.

Project support

  • Can be granted to everyone except private individuals
  • Must have a public benefit purpose (i.e. benefit many)
  • Support can be granted for between 40 – 100 percent of the costs.
  • Private contribution equivalent to 30 percent of the total amount is required but can be in the form of money or your own (non-profit) work.

Support for young people's ideas

Are you between 13 and 25 years old and live in the countryside or in the archipelago between Norrtälje and Nynäshamn? Then you and your friends or your association can apply for project support to organize your own activities!

Those seeking support do not have to live in the countryside/archipelago, but the project idea must be implemented in the countryside/archipelago in one of our six municipalities, Norrtälje, Österåker, Vaxholm, Värmdö, Haninge or Nynäshamn.

Business Development

  • We can grant micro-support to companies within EntrepreneurialBoost. For this support, private co-financing is required. 
  • Industry or business associations can apply for larger project support for business development and initiatives that benefit many companies in a specific location or within a specific industry. Our basic conditions and selection criteria apply, such as the need must be based on local challenges and have been initiated by locally anchored activities.
    • An example is support for tailored skills development initiatives.
  • Investments can only be granted if they are owned by an association and are available to everyone within the relevant industry/geography. Contact us for further discussions!

Micro support

Our micro support are available with several different focuses, such as Culture & events, Anchor & Plan 2.0, Environmental Lift, Entrepreneur Boost and Strengthened Preparedness. We also have micro-support aimed at young people < 25 years old, see above.

You can apply for up to SEK 50,000 in support for smaller initiatives that benefit local development. These are easier to apply for and quicker to receive a decision than in our larger Leader projects.

You need to contribute to the project yourself with non-profit contributions in the form of time or materials.
