Granted youth checks

Lighthouse Bikefight
The Fyrhuset association is an idea-driven, youth-led non-profit association that has, among other things, arranged trips, events and run and participated in various projects. In May 2024, the Fyrhuset association arranged Bikefight – one of the largest competitions in Freestyle Mountainbike in the Nordic countries. With the help of the youth check, the association was able to market the event and offer food to officials and competitors during the competition weekend. Many young people were involved in the implementation, planning and as officials. By arranging this competition, the association wanted to create meetings between people and promote cooperation, responsibility and active choices.

Inauguration ceremony
The older scouts in Dalarö Sjöscoutkår wanted to arrange a weekend sailing aboard the ship Biscaya to create community between older and younger scouts and promote good cooperation. It turned out to be a wonderful sailing adventure during a weekend in September with stops at several archipelago islands. The project group planned the adventure, including purchasing food for the weekend and transportation to Vindalsö, which was the start and end point for the sailing.

Riding training on Singö
Julia, Hilda, Wilma and Alice took the initiative to organize riding training on Singö to have access to practice their great interest and develop with their horses where they live. Since there is no riding course on Singö, the girls have agreed with a landowner on the island to use farmland for the riding training where they will prepare a course for each training session. With the help of the youth voucher, the girls will be able to hire a trainer who will come to Singö on several occasions during the autumn and give lessons. Riders from the surrounding area are also invited to participate. The project aims to raise the level of knowledge in riding and create community, while making it easier for those who otherwise have a long way to training facilities.

Ornö recreation center
A group of young people on Ornö have, in collaboration with Ornö Bygdegårdsförening, decorated a room in the community center to create a cozy place where the young people on the island can hang out, play board games and video games, etc. The young people have helped each other buy furniture and other things needed to start up the recreation center and have then taken turns being leaders and keeping the recreation center open for the younger young people on the island.
