Haninge – the story

Visit Haninge has produced digital audio guides about selected places in Haninge municipality to promote the municipality as an attractive and sustainable travel destination.

About the project

The Haninge project – the story has developed audio stories about selected places in Haninge municipality, both in the archipelago and on the mainland. Digital audio guides were created in collaboration with the local community and associations for an authentic portrayal.

Long-term, the project aims to increase sustainable tourism throughout the municipality. The audio stories are presented as a digital guide on visithaninge.se, where listeners can access all audio stories in both Swedish and English. These stories, featuring voice recordings about specific places, music, and sounds from the locations, constitute an important part of the website's update to attract more visitors. The music composition is inspired by Haninge, making the audio stories unique and tailored for the municipality. For example, a story may be about Dalarö in Stockholm's archipelago and its unique experiences, such as the Shipwreck Area with historical shipwrecks that can be experienced through various activities like diving or wreck safaris.

The project is completed and approved by the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
