NOTICE of the annual meeting for Leader Stockholmsbygd
The board of the association Leader Stockholmsbygd hereby invites members and partners to the annual meeting 2026
Location: Ingarö community house, Näsuddsvägen 3, 134 62 Ingarö
Time: April 23, 2026, at 18:00.
At 18:00 Tomas Strandberg, chairman of Leader Stockholmsbygd and Kristina Lång, 1st vice chairman in KS Värmdö municipality and chairman of the archipelago council welcomes
At 18:05 Three leader projects will present their experiences and what added value the leader method contributes.
- Ruben Renhed presents the project Karsholm's pike factory. Ruben was 15 years old when he started pursuing the idea of a fish conservation project at Karsholm in 2023. A fish conservation association was formed, and together with other islanders, Ruben's project created a reproduction area for fish that contributes to the preservation of the threatened predator fish stocks in the Baltic Sea. Ruben will talk about the implementation and how it has gone since the completion of the pike factory.
- Elin Dahlgren will talk about the project Algae Workshop. The project is in the starting blocks and will create a place on Nämdö that will become a platform for exploration, collaboration, and learning about the ocean's resources with a focus on algae. The initiative combines workshops, innovation-promoting collaborations between researchers, entrepreneurs, and local actors, a local, small-scale algae cultivation to test possible models in the Baltic Sea, and will summarize the results in an exhibition.
- Birgitta Carlsson will talk about the project Growth power in rural areas being carried out in Nynäshamn municipality. The project works to raise awareness and understanding of locally produced food, strengthen local food production through skills development, and create opportunities for producers and consumers to meet. The project started in 2023 and will conclude in 2026

All residents and those active within the leader area are warmly welcome to the annual meeting! Those who are not members have the right to attend and speak at the association meeting, but not the right to vote.
